“But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
Matthew 28:5-6
Hallelujah! He is Risen! He is not there! The tomb is empty and has been for over 2000 years. Jesus Christ, our Savior lives. He is seated in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father, far above all rule, authority, power and dominion (Eph 1:20-21). Far above every name that is named in this age and the one to come. And we are seated with Him (Eph 2:5-6).
He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Forever the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the only One worthy to open the scroll and break its seven seals. Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD, God Almighty who was and is and is to come. He alone is worthy. He alone is King. He reigns forever and ever.
Sin has lost its power and death has lost its sting. Hallelujah! Jesus is Alive!
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
P.S. It’s a long weekend here so there will be no devotion tomorrow. We will resume next week.
